Operations are full of software-shaped gaps
The most important processes rarely live in one system. They cross inboxes, documents, portals, spreadsheets, and internal tools. People keep the work moving by carrying context between those systems and applying judgment that conventional automation cannot express.
That leaves teams with two bad options: ask operators to repeat the same mechanical work forever, or spend months translating a changing process into brittle custom software.
AI agents create a third option. They can interpret messy inputs, navigate software, and follow natural-language instructions. But a capable model is only the beginning. Production work also needs controls, approvals, exception handling, and a complete record of what happened.

Charcoal turns a team’s existing operating knowledge into workflows that agents can run reliably.
You demonstrate the work and hand over the SOPs, examples, and policies your team already uses. Charcoal converts those instructions into a workflow that reads documents, navigates portals, updates systems, and routes exceptions. You decide where the work runs automatically, where it needs approval, and what evidence gets recorded for every decision.
Charcoal is not a copilot waiting for a prompt. It is an operating layer for work that has to happen whether or not someone remembers to start it.
